(JUST IN) Alleged Credit Card Fraud: Naira Marley Gets N2m Bail

***As Trial Begins October 2

Justice Nicholas Oweibo of a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Nigeria, on Thursday (today) granted bail to upcoming musician, Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley.

The judge granted Naira Marley bail in the sum of N2m after entertaining arguments from counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Rotimi Oyedepo, and that of Olalekan Ojo (SAN), lawyer to Fashola.

It would be recalled that Naira Marley had been remanded in prison custody till today to enable the court entertain arguments on the bail application instituted by Naira Marley, after the Commission had at the last adjourned date arraign the musician on an 11 counts, which has to do with credit card fraud.

But Naira Marley had pleaded not guilty to the cyber fraud charges made against him by the EFCC.
