Katsina Governor, Masari Sacks Special Assistants

The governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari has fired all his Special Assistants of their appointments.

The governor said the reason for his decision is hinged on the expiration of his first term in office on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, the governor expressed his gratitude for a job well done on the part of the sacked special assistants during his first term in office.

Inuwa said, “His Excellency, the Governor of Katsina state, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, CFR, has relieved all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants of their appointment with effect from 29th May 2019.

“This follows the expiration of the first tenure of the state administration.

“The Governor seized the opportunity to thank all of them for serving the state in their various capacities as his aides throughout the first tenure.

“Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari prayed for them, God’s guidance in their future endeavours.”

It would be recalled that Governor Masari had last Friday relieved all his commissioners of their appointments.
