N31.2m, 2 Vehicles Forfeited To Nigerian Government By Convicted Drugs Mogul, Chief Azubuike

A total sum of N31, 425, 813. 55 million and two vehicles were on Monday forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria, FGN, by a convicted drug mogul, Chief Odugwe Azubuike. 

The forfeiture came consequent upon an made by a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Nigeria, presided over by Justice Mohammed Liman.

It would be recalled that the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, had filed a criminal charge designated FHC/L/122c/10, against the convicted Chief Azubuike.

According to the charge, the convict unlawfully imported 3.150 kilograms of cocaine into the country through one Oleshi Josephine Otuochima.

The offence according to the prosecutor, Ichakpa Oigoga is contrary to and punishable under section 11(a) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act  Cap. N30 Laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004.
