(NEWSFLASH) NCC Commissionership: Rejected Buhari's Nominee Confirmed By 9th Senate


The appointment of Aliyu Abubakar, as a non-executive commissioner on the board of the National Communications Commission, NCC, was on Thursday (today) confirmed by the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, Abuja, Nigeria.

Abubakar, who hails from Bauchi State, was nominated to represent the North-East last week on the board by President Muhammadu Buhari.

It would be recalled that Abubakar had been rejected by the eighth Senate because of low educational qualifications, for the same position despite.

Others nominated and confirmed by the 9th Senate are; Uba Maska (Executive Commissioner), Professor Millionaire Abowei (Non Executive Commissioner) and Abdulazeez Salman (Non-Executive Commissioner).
