Earthquake Disaster: Five Killed, 120 Injured In Iran

IRAN - No fewer than five people were on Friday (today) killed by a night-time earthquake in northwestern Iran. 

In the disaster, 120 people we're equally injured, according to early reports on state television.

According to the Iranian Seismological Center, the 5.9-magnitude quake struck about 120 kilometres (75 miles) southeast of the city of Tabriz, in East Azerbaijan Province, in the early hours of today. 

To confirm the disaster, the Provincial governor, Mohammad-Reza Pourmohammadi, insisted before local media that at least 30 houses had been destroyed.
