(NEWSFLASH) Alleged Detention, Illegal Violation Of Fundamental Rights: Sowore Institutes N500m Damages Suit Against DSS

ABUJA, NIGERIA - A N500m damages action has been initiated against the Department of State Services  (DSS), by the Convener of the Revolution Now movement and Publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore. 

Omoyele Sowore filed the action as a result of his arrest and continued detention since August 3, 2019.

In particular terms, Omoyele Sowore is praying the Abuja Federal High Court to direct the DSS to pay him a sum to the tune of N500m as general and aggravated damages for his detention and illegal violation of fundamental rights.

Omoyele Sowore made the request in his legal offensive designated FHC/ABJ/C51409/2019, dated November 20, 2019 in Abuja on Friday.
