(NEWSFLASH) #RevolutionNow Protest: DSS Allegedly Fires Gunshot, Pepper Spray To Disperse Protesters Calling for Sowore, Bakare's Release

ABUJA, NIGERIA - Protesters who were gathered around the headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS), to request for the freedom of the Convener of the #RevolutionNow protest,  Omoyele Sowore alongside his co-accused, Olawale Bakare, were on Tuesday (today) allegedly dispersed by the operatives of the DSS who fired gunshots and applied pepper spray. 

The incident reportedly occured when the protesters who were carrying several placards were rounding up their sit out. 

It would be recalled that Deji Adeyanju, who led the protest was addressing journalists as to the reason behind the protest, when truck loads of operatives some with masks arrived at the scene and chased them away.

An operative of the DSS who sighted some of the protesters who had defied the disperse order, allegedly pulled out his service pistol and shot several rounds into the air.

Later, another operative allegedly applied pepper spray apparently to force those who were seated to flee.
