Proposed N2.8bn Modern Market: Fruit Market In Ikosi-Ketu Demolished

IKOSI-KETU,  LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA - Two bulldozers, escorted by policemen, mostly from task force on Friday (today)  stormed the Ikosi-Ketu Fruit Market in the Ketu area of Lagos State, Nigeria, and began to demolish shops. 

This is to clear the way for the erection of a modern market in the vicinity. 

It would be recalled that the Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), had awarded the reconstruction of the market to Total Value Integrated Service Limited, which had committed about N2.8 billion for reconstruction.

Specifically at about 10.00am today, the two bulldozers, escorted by policemen, mostly from task force stormed the market to ensure that there was no resistance during the demolition.
