BY FRANCIS IWUCHUKWU

IKOYI,  LAGOS STATE,  NIGERIA - Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi,  Lagos State, Nigeria, on Tuesday (today) directed the Nigerian Army and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Tukur Buratai to suspend the ongoing Operation Positive Identification.

Justice Rilwanu Aikawa arrived at the decision just as he equally ordered parties to maintain status quo ante,  pending the determination of a suit filed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana.

It would be recalled that Femi Falana (SAN)  had in the legal war designated FHC/L/CS/1939/2019 and dated October 25, 2019, asked the court to issue an order stopping the operation.

Joined as first to third respondents in the suit are the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai,  the Nigerian Army, and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF).
