  • Says PSC's Case Is Lacking In Merit  

ABUJA, NIGERIA - The power of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Police Council under the control of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to recruit constables into the NPF, was on Monday (today) sustained by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria. 

The court, presided over by Justice Inyang Ekwo equally in his judgment threw out the action instituted by the Police Service Commission (PSC), questioning the power of the NPF and the IGP, Mohammed Adamu, to carry out the ongoing exercise of recruiting 10,000 police constables.

Justice Inyang Ekwo particularly declared that the case of the PSC is lacking in Merit.
