Coronavirus Pandemic: Abuja Markets Shut

ABUJA, NIGERIA - The closure of shops in markets and neighborhood centers to traders across Abuja, Nigeria has been ordered. 

The order came from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello. 

The order became imperative owing to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Anthony Ogunleye, explained that the measure was to help tackle the spread of COVID-19 across FCT.

However, the FCT Minister insisted that only shops selling essential products and bakeries are to remain open but should abide strictly to laid down measures.
