How Armed Robbers Raided Isanlu Branch Of First Bank In Kogi State


KOGI, NIGERIA - Suspected armed robbers on Thursday (yesterday) invaded the Isanlu branch of the First Bank of Nigeria Limited in Kogi State, killing a yet-to-be ascertained number of police personnel and passers-by.  

It was gathered that the suspected armed robbers, numbering about seven, came in two vehicles, broke into the bank and shot dead several persons.

To confirm the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, William Ayah, explained that there were casualties. 

It was further learnt that no fewer than seven security personnel on duty at the old generation financial institution and some passers-by were killed by the robbers, who got angry as a result of their inability to gain access into the banking hall.

Our correspondent equally gathered that the Divisional Police Headquarters was invaded by the robbers who killed some policemen on duty.
