COVID-19: All Schools In Lagos Directed To Reopen

All tertiary institutions under the Lagos State government were on Saturday (today) directed to reopen on September 14, 2020.

The directive was issued by the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

It would be recalled that the institutions were shut indefinitely in March to check the spread of COVID-19.

During a briefing today, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also fixed September 21, 2020, as the tentative date for the reopening of primary and secondary schools.

The governor said: “I am pleased to announce that our tertiary institution will be allowed to reopen from September 14, 2020, all our tertiary institutions.

“This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling and what procedure comes out from the ministry of health.”
